Not the news we were hoping for. His family will stay in our prayers.

Yes we did think he would pull out of it eventually.

Monday Rich went over the bars over the hump at Grattan raceway, it is between T4 and T5. The bike landed on top of him breaking multiple ribs and collapsing a lung. He also had a broken collar bone and 2 breaks in his femur. His helmet did have some scuffs but the inside did not have any indentions in the foam. When the Dr.s went to put him in surgery his BP plummeted, they then sedated him to try and relax him which did not work. They then put him in a drug induced coma, while in the coma a fatty piece of tissue become dislodged and entered his brain at the same time his brain was getting pressure on it. This is wednesday that this is going on. Thursday AM he had decreased brain activity and the family decided to remove him from life support, friday he passed just afternoon.

He does have alot of friends on the board there. he was a good guy and well liked by all.

Pray for the family as they will need it in the coming days.

I met him and rode with him at Putnam before--he was actually one of the SAFER RIDERS--always stayed within his limits--I only met him a couple of times but he will be sadly missed--prayers to his family/friends --Hammer let me know if you need anything bro---I talked to Don and he was taking it pretty bad also and that was before he passed away--Tragic for sure-this year we also had young Gilliam pass away while racing --it is becoming a larger sport and lots more people on the track than before but im sure this has decreased the deaths on the road-we are in a dangerous sport and as riders have all put our lives in danger but to loose someone is the one thing we pray never happens--may all of us ride safe ------------------------speed safely is something Don Randy and myself used to tell each other after every conversation, I think i will start saying it again---Speed Safely everyone--
