Anybody know what it takes to get a bike titled?
I was given an old royal star venture friday and just got it all lined out and running right yesterday but it only came with a bill of sale and I have no idea what to do next to get it legal.
Do I go to a notary, dmv or a title company to get a title or will a notarized bill of sale be enough to get it registered?

It's call a court ordered title I did it a while back it took 6 months to get my title. Do you know any notary's on a personal level if so go see them. They are ways to do it but the main thing that want is to show a chain of ownership, how you came to own the bike. It can get costly it hit me for 350.00 but I had nothin not even a bill of sale.Good luck

Thanks, I know a few notaries so I'll ask them and see what they say.
I sure hope it does'nt take all that to get one.

if you can find the person that DMV deems the current owner, you can sweet talk them into (hell, slip 'em a few bucks) aquiring a duplicate title and sign it over to you. i've done it before on an old car. just pay your way and have the guy sign what is necessary. and keep it on the down low.
