*SOLD* 86 Toyota SR5 Turbo ExtraCab FS

I have here the cleanest Toyota pickup truck I have ever seen, driven, owned, you name it. If you found interest in this ad, then I need not explain how rare of a specimen this is. I hate using the term "Rare" on ebay, we all know the drill, but I cant think of a better fitting term for this truck. I'll start with how I happened upon this truck, then we'll get to the details.

I am a Toyota truck enthusiast. At the time I bought this truck, it became #4 to an existing family of 3 unique Toyota pickups that I owned. I bought this truck in late May of this year (off ebay. item# 2478821016) with the intention of using the body for a 4wd Turbo Diesel pickup that I was working on. I figured I could use the body for my project, then sell the rolling chassis with the engine to a turbo guy. By the time I arrived home from Georgia, that plan was scrapped. This truck is FAR too nice. I realized what I had here, and there was no way I could dismantle it. I have a child due in about a month, I am reminded that this truck would never cut it as a daily for me, so sadly I have to sell it, along with my Turbo diesel project, and my 89 4Runner. Since I've had it, It has been garage stored and driven periodically. This truck really drives like a beauty, and I plan to drive it more until I sell it. It was just registered on Sept 8th, and I'll drive it around more, in hopes of selling it.

Now to the nuts and bolts of things. Here is the ad that was used when I bought the truck:

"The paint is original and shines like new. The interior is flawless. The bed doesnt have a liner and looks as if it was rarely used as a pickup. The truck is completely loaded with Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control, Leather wrapped steering wheel, leather shift knob, Power Windows, Power Door locks, Power Rear Sliding Window (Yes, POWER), Six way adjustable drivers seat with adjustable lumbar support. It also has a factory AM/FM/Cassette/CD changer in the dash. The engine was completely rebuilt (@ 162,947) (currently 175K) and a new Turbo was also installed at that time. Please note I said a NEW Turbo, not a rebuilt one. The wheels and tires were also replaced @ 165K, at the same time the engine was rebuilt and a new clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing were also installed and the flywheel was resurfaced. No corners were cut on the rebuilding either. I had the mechanic install new heavy duty pistons with chrome moly rings, a new LC engineering cam, a new exhaust manifold, new oil pump, new water pump, all new hoses and new drive belts. The timing chain and tensioners were also replaced. At the same time, a new turbo muffler was installed. All the original equipment for the truck is present, including the factory tool kit, factory jack, and original owners manual. Also notice the hood struts that were installed"

I have owned this truck such a short time, that the above information is still accurate, to the best of my knowledge. I cannot verify what was done to the engine, but by looking at the truck, and what's obvious under the hood, I have no reason to doubt what's in the engine.

This truck is an absolute blast to drive. It is smooth as glass, shifts like a new truck, and is just as comfortable as a new one. I forget which magazine dubbed this truck "A Sports Car with a bed," but they were on the money. It definitly drives more like a car than a truck. It is truly unbelievable that it's an 86.

The previous owner also said that he had added a new starter, and battery. I have changed the plugs, and the oil. (Mobile1, and Toyota filter) I also noticed that it has a 110v block heater installed.

This rear slider is power btw._ I thought that was pretty trick._ I remember seeing one of these on ebay about a year ago._ Wonder if this is the one..._







The steering wheel has been professionally re-wrapped with leather._ A fine job I might add..._ Also sports a new leather TRD shift knob._ Whoever had this truck was paying some attention to detail._ The famous rusting windsheild wipers have also been replaced with new OEM ones.

I can't wipe the smile off my face when I drive it. Maybe it's cause I dont drive it much. It's hard for my to drive it and keep it out of boost.
